It’s no wonder so many places in Bluffton and Hilton Head Island are dog friendly!
Here are a few ideas on where you can take your dog along for an adventure:
Dog Friendly Restaurants – dine on the patio with your pup:
- Corner Perk Brunch Cafe in Bluffton is in the heart of downtown. Stop by for a delicious cup of coffee or indulge yourself in there delicious food offerings. You can’t choose wrong.
- Watusi Cafe on Hilton Head Island has delicious food and even has a separate Dog Friendly Menu! Afterwards, head on over to Coligny Beach as it is right down the road from the restaurant.
- Alvin Ord’s in Bluffton is your stop for delicious sandwiches and don’t forget to get a homemade cookie for dessert.
- Jane Bistro & Bar on Hilton Head Island is located in Shelter Cove. Stop by for a bite to eat, then take a stroll around all the shops and the park that looks out onto the Broad Creek.
- Bluffton BBQ in Old Town Bluffton has mouthwatering BBQ that is a must have when visiting the Promenade. If you haven’t been there yet, then now is the time.
- Casablanca Mediterranean Grill on Hilton Head Island is your go to for fresh, authentic Mediterranean cuisine that is amazing. If you like a little spice, ask about their homemade harissa.
- Calhoun Street Tavern in Old Town Bluffton is a fun spot all around – from delicious food to live music in the evenings, you can’t go wrong with a stop here.
- Skull Creek Boathouse on Hilton Head Island has not only amazing views and a beautiful shaded patio, but they have good food and there is something for everyone on the menu.
Out and About:
- With Hilton Head Island’s miles of bike trails, you are bound to run into one and spend the day wandering with your favorite fur buddy; whether it be in one of the many communities or along the main throughfare on the island.
- Looking for a way to cool off? We’ve got lots of water around us, just be sure to stay out of and a safe distance from the lagoons, as that is where the alligators live. Explore the beaches on Hilton Head Island to not only stay cool but to get some exercise too. They do have leash laws, so be sure to follow the rules and pick up after your pet, but the beach makes for a great way to just relax in the sun or under an umbrella, go for a long walk or play fetch with your pup while enjoying the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean.
- Bluffton Dog Park at Oscar Frazier Park in Bluffton is a fenced in dog park for your fur friend to run around and make friends while doing so.
- Another great fenced in dog park is Chaplin Community Park’s Best Friends Dog Park on Hilton Head Island. Let your dog roam leash free and have a wag-tastic time!
- Peruse the local Farmer’s Markets in Bluffton and Hilton Head Island and find a special treat for everyone!
- Take a stroll through the Sea Pines Forest Preserve on Hilton Head Island, then head on down to Harbour Town and indulge in an ice cold beverage or an ice cream cone!
- Enjoy a scenic walk down the New River Linear Trail in Bluffton. At 3.4 miles in length, take in all the sights, including an abundance of wildlife, the New River, an old railway corridor, forests and swamplands.
- A day out with your pup deserves a stop at Woof Gang Bakery in Bluffton for a treat; bring them inside and let them explore and find the perfect treats to take home.
